The long awaiting Crocs Expo sales is here at last!

I went to the Crocs member preview sales on fri morning 9am.

You need to register online for tickets. limited to 2000 people only.

One is able to bring a friend along.

I'm pretty happy with the staff. They do check that you have the ticket before allowing u to enter.

Some of the kiasu people without the ticket are told to sit outside while we members with tickets get to enter first.

Stickers are also given to people who wear crocs! i tot there's freebies.. end up i think is just for them to know that you wore ur own crocs and did not steal from them. -_-

Reseller or super Crocs fan?

Take the sizes then choose later! The hall is not crowded and spacious enough for people to enjoy choosing their shoes. kudos to the event organizer again!

So, how cheap are the shoes? Crocsband is about $30 when retail sells at $64+. more than half price! McCall selling at $25. Jiggbits (the buttons) cost $2 each when usual is close to $4.

For the jiggbits, there's the disney series, garfield, hello kitty, doreamon, 3D types, those with lights when shake,etc. There's also a scoop the jiggbits at $5 only!

Other accessories includes handphone pouch, mug holder, hairbands at $1, blah blah.

There are latest shoes at the sales. Like those that look like sneakers and slip ons.

This is a sales nt to be missed! last day today! don't miss it!

it is helded on the first sat and third sat of the month.
for November, December, January it is held more than twice a month.
So, how to register for the flea?
This flea stalls are thru balloting.
Here are the steps:
1. on the last day of the month-2 of the month you want to rent the stall, you need to call tanglin mall customer service to ballot.
eg you want to rent for November 2011. you need to call in on September 30 to ask when is the next ballot days. I called up on September 30 and they say it would be on 10-11 October, before 8pm. yes is on a Monday and Tuesday.
2. Next, you have to personally visit the customer service counter at Tanglin Mall to ballot for the flea.
eg on october 10, you go to the counter and fill up the form. you need ur NRIC with you. If I'm not wrong, only singaporeans and Singapore PR can ballot. you don't have to pay for the rental yet.
3. wait for their call. if you get it they will ring you up. in the past they told be that I will know the result on xxx days but I didn't get the call. but a week or two later, they called to say I've won a stall and gave me the stall number
so do expect some delay. you are suppose to go back tanglin mall customer service counter to pay your rental. is $85 as of now. the price is getting more and more expensive. probably because they can guarantee the crowd. I've been to afew flea markets and the earning is negative. only tanglin is the best so far.
4. just wait for the actual day! u can start your stall from 3pm till 11pm.

Its dinner at Wild Honey, located at Mandarin Gallery. They have colorful wordings on the menu. I can't take photo of it as the staff stopped me from taking. I mean, y can't i take? their menu is on their website too. unreasonable. Anyways, the food is nice. The plate is served hot so be careful. Chairs and tables are homely. Its also quite crowded when we reached around 7, probably because the space is quite small.

I like the food here - Cumi Bali Indonesian Restaurant. Food is definitely good but abit pricy. There are located between Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown. There are many bridal shops along Tanjong Pagar Road.

Service, good. Food, Very very good. Portion of food, they will cook based on how many ppl u have. so, just choose what u want. Ive been here many many times.

Wedding Dinner at Furama RiverFront Hotel @ Havelock Road. There's another Furama Hotel at Chinatown so don't get lost. From what i heard, it is also located next to the famous high class geylang, Xin Tian Di. You may go there by cab or alight at the bus stop in front of Miramar Hotel and walk to it. The food, average. The staff, don't seem to have much experience, be it the way the collect the plates or distribute the food. But still, acceptable. no complains. just average lor.

When i saw it, i tot it is just another Japanese ramen shop. When look closer, they are actually selling Japanese Pasta. As compared to Waraku, I prefer this. Why? bigger in portion and tastes good. There's this i have to come back feel after dining. I went to the outlet at Somerset 313. It may seems small, but there's quite a few seats hidden behind that you can't see from the main entrance. Where is it located at Somerset 313? Just go up the escalator somewhere in front of New Look, if u are coming from the MRT. Turn to the right and u can see it. Yes, level 1 of somerset 313.

This is the Japanese Style Extra Virgin Oil & Garlic Taste - Cuttlefish Ink and Karasumi Dried Mullet Roe

This is Western Style Soy Sauce and Butter Taste - Fresh Nori. Shrimp and Clam. New taste for me. love it. Its not very oily, just right butter taste, QQ noodle and shrimps. There's no sand in the clams too.

Capsule Madness

Capsules. we all used to put $1-$5 to get capsules yet we may not get something that we want. NOW, at the Robinsons Expo sales, all we need to do is

1. grab a bag from the cashier (about A4 size)

2. fill up your bag with capsules (u can also choose ur capsules)

3. pay $10! thats all!

The capsules come in big and small sizes. Here's 30 of them. just nice to fit the A4 bag. Do not try to overflow the bag as the cashier will just throw out the capsules! leave some space for the cashier the tape the bag. Anyways, $10 for 30 is a big bargain! 30cents each! look at some of my items below:

Feather Run 2011

There's a Feather Run coming this November 13, 2011. Seems interesting to me. For more info, refer to Feather Run 2011. Im guessing that runners will run in the bird park itself. Watch out for hills, birds, bird poos, haha. One very bad thing about the race is that.. it starts at 9AM! too early! I need to journey to the west (east to west) which can take an hour just by train...................... the good thing is after the race we can enjoy our day at the Jurong bird park. hmmm.. when did i last went? primary school? haha cant remember. The route isnt out yet. Do check out the FAQ page in the site. Many information.

Previously Ive been to the Safari Zoo run 2011 early this year, February. It was pouring heavily. Lucky or not, the rain stopped afew minutes before the race will be announced cancelled. We get to run but the floor is kind of wet and slippery.

Todai Singapore is located at Marina Bay Sands at The Shoppes. I <3 Todai. Many many varieties of food, big area, not squeezy, beautiful places. No complains. They will also consistently top up the food whenever its going empty. Look out for a wall that has photos and signatures are celebrities visiting them. They also provide ROM packages.

Happycall HappyMe Part 2

TRY 4: Cooking the Angel fishes again!

I tried cooking it with a smaller fire, 7 minutes, this is how it look like:

Then for another 2 fishes, i cook it with bigger fire, 7minutes.. this is drier than the above. The above tastes like steam fish whereas this taste more like fried fish but without oil.I dont add oil to the food unless i specify.

I realise that when the fish gets cooler, the fish skin is sticky. i can also peel away the skin and the fish meat still looking good (some holes on the fish is actually poked by me. hee..)

TRY 5: Ready To Cook Tempura Prawns~

This is how they look like before cooking.. Remember to defrost first if the prawns are in the freezer.

I added a tablespoon of oil into the pan before frying the prawns. I can hear the oil *piak*piak*piak* after adding the prawns into the pan. In between i would flip and open to make sure the prawns are in line. I also open to check if the prawns are ready (golden brown).. This is how it look like when i off the fire. Still a little pale golden for certain parts but dont worry.. it will turn darker after cool. More oil can be seen on the pan as the prawns turning golden brown..

TRY 6: Vegetables - mushroom and bean spouts

Within 3 minutes it done! I didnt add anything inside but when i open there's quite an amount of water in the pan. Probably you may sprinkle some salt for more taste. When the bean sprouts are more translucent, means its cooked, like cooked cooked.

Its the Singapore F1 time!! If you were to walk pass the city area in SG, you may hear many vrooom vrooooms~

I went to the first day out of 3 days of the F1 in SG. First day is basically the practice day. for more info, refer to Singapore F1 page.

I could only go to Zone 4. Decided to choose Gate 7. Gate 7 entry is at Marina Square. Is near the Starbucks. here's the signboard informing how to go to Gate 7, at City Link Mall, City hall Mrt.

Gmarket SG, i'm their regular! I do buy from Gmarket KR too. Shopping experience, so far so good. I find it sinful to visit this site. Why? cos i spend a lot in here! there's many varieties of things u can buy. but beware! there are fake products too.

This post will be on Soup Restaurant. I've been to Compass point and NEX branches. So far so good. Just a bit expensive. two person, plus GST, $50+.

Things that we've ordered..

The famous Samsui Ginger Chicken.

The chicken is cold. you are suppose to dip the chicken with the ginger sauce (in the middle) and wrap it into the raw veg.

Double Boiled Waisan & Ginseng Roots with Chicken Soup

This soup is for relieving of stress. Since we all are so stress out, so tried this. a little bit bitter. As the saying goes, the more bitter it is the better? Anyways, can taste that it is quite tasteful and not like those watery and diluted soup.

Rice

Very small portion. probably 2/3 of the normal small standard bowl or is just the appearance.

Steamed Hand chopped Minced Pork with Salted Fish

according to their website, only 30 servings available per day because it is hand chopped.

The meat is soft and not very salty. There's also chestnut inside.

Ah gong potato leaves

Ah gong is the spicy version of Ah Po's. Ah Po is non spicy. Ah gong is mild spicy. Quite soft. Ah gong Ah ma also can eat. haha

Good news for soup restaurant shareholders. If you have their shares, above 2000 lots, u can apply the privilege card (S-card) and get 15% off!

It is located at the hotel side of MBS. not at The Shoppes.

my first impression = bad customer service. the waitresses probably thinks they work in MBS and can be arrogant and unfriendly. pissed. the food seems bad to me after that. no mood to enjoy the food. Besides, the food wasn't so nice either, after trying Todai @ The Shoppes MBS (www.todaisingapore.com).

Happycall double pressure pan review

This, is my happycall pan. Seriously, I <3 it a lot.

I'm not sure if this is original happycall double pressure pan. but it does look original. I bought it from a forum. Much cheaper than www.lejel.com. If your in SG, u actually can see the commercials of this pan on Ch U. Visit www.lejel.com for the commercials timing. they are selling this pan at $108. Beware of those obvious fakes e.g. magic call, love call. Maybe they are original to their company but not the real pans from happy call, just by looking at the name. DO NOT be conned! It should also be made in Korea and has the hologram sticker. on my box, it has a website: www.myhappycall.co.kr. but as i said, I'm not sure if is original.

Before using a newly bought pan, or any food containers, my mom would ask to wash it with soap, boil water using the pan and throw away the water. Just for some safety. no harm doing?

These are my tries for today.

TRY 1: Cooking baby squids in 5min

1. Pour the squids into the pan

2. Cover the pan. they have this magnet at the handle making it easier for people to open

3. cook the squids about 5 min. in between i will flip the pan to make sure the food is cooked at both side

4. scared that it will drip? not at all from the sides! but beware of behind! water can definitely flow out.

5. I didn't add any seasoning or oil or water. yes, just pure baby squids.

6. TADAH~ when its done, the smell of the squid is good. there's water in the pan although i didn't add any.

7. trying the food: the squids are Q (chewy). yummy!

TRY 2: Cooking angel (?) fish in 7min

1. Here's the fish, before cooking~

2. remember to wash the fish with salt and wash it away. I actually forgotten about it and the whole house has this yu xin wei~ god! mom was scolding like mad. sorry la~ first time cooking after a long long time. I probably only cooked around 5 times (excluding maggie or campbell) in my whole life! what to do? i have chef mom and chef dad.

3. As usual, no seasoning, no oil, nothing, just pure fish into the pan.

4. close it, set ur timer and is ready in 7mins! remember to flip ur fish or it will be chao ta!

5.TADAH~ heres the pics of the cooked fish. the longer i cook the fish on one side, there more brownness it is. see the golden brown on the fish.

6. Trying the food: YUMMY! is nice. very juicy if u can see in the pic.. unlike steam fish, the meat will become dry. unlike fried fish, u need oil to make it juicy. The softness is like steam fish, with much juice.

TRY 3: Cooking _____ fish in 6min (sry i don't know the name)

1. here's the before and after.

2. I don't really like this kind of fish cause its very dry when fried or steam.

3. as usual, use the pan, no seasoning, no oil, no no no, just pure fish only.

4. trying the food: to my surprise, it is juicy! not dry meat like when fried or steam.

CLEANING TIME~

1. as per tv, is really just use the kitchen towel to wipe after cooking each item and is like clean clean~

the photo below is how i wipe off the dirt on the pan after cooking TRY2.

2. but of course la, u better wash it with soap after usage. use the soft soft sponge to wash, not the green color rough surface or the silver metal kind.

MISC

the food does not stick onto the pan! many pans claims that the food do not stick the food, but it does! really irritate me.
